Exercising Good Relationships

#Single #ItsComplicated #Taken #Divorced #Married #WaitingForAMiracle

Whatever your status is I want you to ask yourself, is the grass really greener on the other side?

First, I’d like to say by no means have I become an expert on this topic in my 19 years on earth. However, I do have an opinion over the matter and would love to share some of my personal experiences with you all.

Whether you are #SingleAsAPringle or drowning in love let’s be honest… relationships are everywhere. Whether it’s relationships with a significant other, family or just friends, you know that it’s not always sunshine and roses.

To share a little about myself currently, I am surrounded by amazing family, friends, and in a relationship with a man that has an enormous heart full of compassion, full of strength.

Not the Channing Tatum type of strength either… but the strength that comes from a man that knows what he believes and holds onto his values. The strength that can only come from a man who is chasing after Gods own heart.

Okay. I’m not here to just brag about, Caleb (even though I could).  But ladies, I wasn’t just waiting in my castle brushing my long beautiful hair until Prince Charming appeared. For men, it’s like having that attractive girl you’ve been crushing on for weeks actually approach you tomorrow in class making it clear she is not only available but interested.

It took a lot of tears, frustration, a heartbreak, and endless amount of PRAYER to get to where I am at today.

(Woman go here, Men follow up here)

It seemed when I was chasing after the guy I loved but knew wasn’t right for me, I was only ever left with heartache, low self-esteem and regrets. When I finally stopped taking matters into my own hands and started chasing after God instead, He brought me someone not perfect, but so perfect for me. Readers, God knows the desires of our hearts and all He wants is to fill those desires and continually bring us blessings in this life.

With that being said, it doesn’t mean that there aren’t times when we get frustrated with one another or feelings don’t still get hurt. 140 miles apart from each other hasn’t always been easy but I think Caleb would agree, that the effort put in has always been worth it.

“The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, its green where ever you water it.” That fits for the relationships you share with your sweetheart, friends, co-workers, parents, brothers or sisters. Any good relationship, takes time and work to uphold.
